Yep, it's time to start planning!

I know, I know it feels like summer just started and I'm bringing up the holidays already - you can call me crazy! But seriously, if you're wanting to get family photos this holiday season, now is the time to start planning. Here are some things to keep in mind:

  • What am I using these for? - If you want to send out Christmas cards, that changes the theme and when you need them back by versus if you want to want to get photos taken of the kids in their Halloween costumes or photos at the family reunion.
  • Where are we taking them? - Location is a weirdly big factor because it affects what you wear, how you get there, and how much time you'll need plus it can help fit a certain theme if that's the goal of the photo session.
  • What are we wearing? - Like with the location, outfits help make a session feel more cohesive and put together. You'll want to keep in mind comfort level as well as how fancy or casual you want the photos to look.
  • Who's all going to be there? - Sometimes the whole family is in town and you want to capture that, and sometimes you just want to get the parents together for an updated photo. It's important to figure out also if you want to bring pets along as well!

Mini Sessions!!! - This year, I'll be planning a couple different themed shoots so that you can get some fun photos to use for the holidays this year! I need your help in deciding which one(s): fall/pumpkins and leaves, Christmas/tree farm and cocoa, winter/bundled up in the snow, or if you have an idea let me know! I'll be scheduling these first through my mailing list, so if you haven't I would suggest hopping on over to the home page and joining!

My books are open through the end of 2024 so I'm ready when you are! You get first dibs for dates, why not schedule today?
